Produced Fluid Treatment Application Portfolio
This portfolio organizes produced-fluid and produced-water treatment evidence around the real process question: what enters the system, how oil/gas/water/solids are separated, what polishing stages are required, and what quality or interface the treated streams must meet downstream.
No fixed oil-in-water value, suspended-solids limit, particle size, removal efficiency, flow rate, reinjection target or discharge standard is presented as a universal LINSON OIL result. Those values belong to the actual project basis and applicable operator/EPC/local requirements.
Application Overview
Treatment architecture starts with feed characterization and outlet destination.
Produced-fluid systems may receive varying oil, gas, water and solids loads from wells, gathering facilities, separators, tanks or upstream process packages. The appropriate treatment route therefore depends on actual feed behavior and the required next step for each outlet stream.
Produced Fluid
Clarify oil/water/gas proportions, emulsions, viscosity, solids, pressure/temperature and operating variation.
Produced Water
Clarify dispersed/free oil, suspended solids, salinity/chemistry, chemicals and the required downstream water destination.
Solids / Sludge
Sand, fines, scale, corrosion products and sludge can influence separation, filtration, cleaning and disposal philosophy.
Outlet Interfaces
Oil export/storage, gas handling, treated-water reinjection/discharge/further treatment and solids/sludge handling are project-defined interfaces.
Feed Characteristics
Define the feed before selecting the treatment train.
Normal, minimum, maximum, startup and upset conditions can affect vessel sizing, retention/separation behavior, material selection, control philosophy and polishing-stage load.
A / PHASE BEHAVIOR
Oil / water / gas split
Review water cut, gas influence, emulsion/foam tendency, fluid density/viscosity, P/T and changing production conditions.
B / SOLIDS
Sand, fines, scale and sludge
Clarify solids source, concentration/range, particle characteristics where available, settling behavior and cleaning/removal expectations.
C / CHEMISTRY
Salinity, corrosion and chemicals
Produced-water chemistry, H2S/CO2 where relevant, treatment chemicals and corrosion/compatibility concerns influence material and process decisions.
D / OUTLET DUTY
Reinjection, discharge or further treatment
The outlet requirement must be supplied by the operator/EPC/project specification; it should not be inferred from another field or jurisdiction.
Oil / Gas / Water / Solids Separation
Primary separation creates manageable streams for downstream treatment.
LINSON source material supports oil/gas/water phase separation and oil-water coalescing internals in separator applications. Similar treatment trains can then route water-rich streams to dedicated polishing stages while oil, gas and solids follow their project-defined destinations.
- 01 / INLET
Inlet / Degassing
Manage incoming momentum and free/released gas according to the actual feed and vessel/process design.
- 02 / LIQUID
Oil / Water Separation
Use gravity/retention and selected internals or other project-defined separation aids to establish oil-rich and water-rich streams.
- 03 / SOLIDS
Solids Collection / Removal
Consider sand/sludge accumulation, collection, cleaning and discharge interfaces where solids are part of the feed basis.
- 04 / OUTLET
Controlled Stream Handover
Route oil, gas, water and solids to the next processing, storage, export, recovery or disposal interface specified by the project.
Produced-Water Treatment Routes
Build the route from the remaining contaminants and the downstream requirement.
After primary separation, produced water may require one or more additional treatment stages. LINSON's documented portfolio includes produced-water treatment systems, filters, coalescing equipment, clarifiers and reinjection-package routes; the actual sequence is selected from feed analysis and project criteria.
Primary / Secondary Separation
Reduce free/dispersed oil and settleable phases before placing unnecessary load on downstream polishing equipment.
Conditioning / Transfer
Coordinate chemical-injection interfaces, tanks/surge, transfer pumps and controls where they are required by the approved process.
Polishing / Final Interface
Select filtration, coalescing, clarification or other confirmed treatment stages to meet the specified downstream interface.
Filtration / Coalescing / Clarification
Select polishing equipment from what remains after upstream separation.
01 / FILTER
Filtration
Use project-defined filters where suspended solids control, downstream equipment protection or water polishing requires a filtration stage. Media/type and rating remain application-specific.
02 / COALESCE
Coalescing
Coalescing can support separation of dispersed oil/water phases where the fluid behavior and approved process route justify this mechanism.
03 / CLARIFY
Clarification
Clarifier/sludge-removal concepts can be applied where settling/clarification and solids/sludge handling are part of the treatment requirement.
Reinjection / Discharge Interface
The final water destination determines the required handover basis.
Reinjection, discharge, reuse or transfer to another treatment system can require different water-quality, pressure, pumping, filtration, monitoring and documentation criteria. Those requirements must come from the actual project and applicable regulations/specifications.
Reinjection
Confirm injection-system water-quality criteria, pressure/flow range, pump/interface basis and formation/operator requirements.
Discharge / Disposal
Confirm the client/local discharge or disposal specification; do not reuse another project's target values.
Reuse / Further Treatment
Define the next process and its inlet requirements so the upstream treatment train does not over- or under-treat the stream.
Monitoring / Handover
Clarify sampling, instruments, control interfaces, laboratory/acceptance basis and documentation required at the battery limit.
Representative Application Evidence
Use source-backed equipment/application evidence without inventing one universal treatment result.
LINSON OIL's source set supports produced-water treatment systems and treatment-system manufacturing resources. Related manufacturing/QMS evidence also covers filters, industrial wastewater-treatment equipment and sludge-scraper equipment, while separator source material documents oil/water coalescing internals in separation applications.
Produced-fluid / water-treatment system evidence
Use verified system/package images and application records from the dedicated treatment source during the image pass.
Filter / clarifier manufacturing evidence
Use manufacturing/QMS evidence to support equipment-family capability, not a specific treatment efficiency.
Separation / coalescing evidence
Use separator/coalescing source material for the documented mechanism and equipment context only; do not transfer source-specific performance numbers.
Not Generalized
No fixed oil-in-water, suspended-solids, particle-size, removal-efficiency, throughput, reinjection-quality or discharge-quality value is stated here as a standard LINSON OIL guarantee.
