Indirect Heating for Oil & Gas Processing

Vacuum Phase-Change Heater for Oil & Gas Processing

A phase-change-based indirect heating solution engineered around your process duty, operating conditions, site requirements, and supply scope. The thermal arrangement is selected as a distinct heating technology rather than treated as a standard water-bath configuration.

What It Does

Controlled heat transfer through a phase-change medium.

A vacuum phase-change heater transfers heat indirectly. A heat source acts on a selected working-medium system inside a controlled chamber. The medium changes phase and transfers thermal energy across a heat-transfer surface or process coil, while the process stream remains separated from the heat source.

LINSON OIL designs the arrangement around the actual heating duty rather than presenting one fixed configuration as suitable for every fluid, pressure, temperature, location, or project standard. Heater body geometry, heat source, coils, controls, instruments, safety devices, materials, and skid scope are configuration-dependent.

Where It Fits

Heating duty within a wider process system.

The heater can be evaluated as individual equipment or as part of a package where process, piping, instruments, controls, and site interfaces need to work together.

Crude Oil Heating

For temperature conditioning associated with viscosity, flow, treatment, transfer, or downstream process requirements.

Gas Heating

For gas process lines and equipment where the required temperature profile must be reviewed with operating pressure and composition.

Gathering Stations

For oilfield gathering facilities where heater integration, access, piping interfaces, and controls require coordinated design.

Skid Packages

For integrated heating skids combining heater equipment with piping, valves, instruments, electrical systems, and controls.

Engineering Inputs

The heating system starts with project data.

Complete information supports more accurate sizing, selection, quotation scope, documentation planning, and delivery coordination. Preliminary data is also welcome for early technical discussion.

Selection Basis

Review with LINSON OIL

We clarify the heating objective and operating envelope before proposing an equipment arrangement.

Vacuum Phase-Change Heater

Indirect thermal transfer based on a controlled working-medium phase-change system. The process stream passes through the configured heat-transfer section without direct contact with the heat source.

Water Bath Heater

An indirect heating arrangement using a water bath as the thermal medium. Suitability is assessed against project thermal duty, operating conditions, layout, and owner specifications.

No fixed efficiency, lifecycle, or energy-saving percentage is assumed without project-specific engineering data and confirmed operating conditions.

Supply Options

Standalone equipment or integrated skid supply.

LINSON OIL can support a defined heater supply boundary or coordinate a wider skid package with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, control, testing, and documentation requirements.

Technical FAQ

Questions before inquiry.

Share available process information with our team for a more specific engineering response.

Is a vacuum phase-change heater the same as a water bath heater?
No. Both are indirect heating solutions, but their heat-transfer principles differ. A water bath heater uses a water bath as the thermal medium. A vacuum phase-change heater is based on a controlled working-medium phase-change system. Selection should follow project conditions rather than product naming alone.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Please provide flow rate, inlet and outlet temperature, pressure, fluid properties, required heat duty, available energy source, ambient conditions, hazardous-area basis, site conditions, requested standards, and desired supply scope.
Can LINSON OIL supply a complete heating skid?
Yes. Depending on the project scope, we can supply a heater-only package or an integrated skid including piping, valves, instruments, electrical systems, control panel, structure, testing, documentation, and export preparation.
Can hazardous-area requirements be considered?
Yes. Hazardous-area classification, instrument and electrical requirements, site standards, and destination-market requirements should be provided during technical clarification.
What tests and documents can be included?
Scope can include material certificates, inspection records, welding and NDT records, pressure or leak testing records, electrical and instrumentation test records, FAT documentation, drawings, data sheets, operation manuals, packing lists, and other project documents as agreed.
