LINSON OIL metering and test separator skid

Integrated test train

One skid. Coordinated separation + measurement.

Vessel, pipework, instruments, project-specified metering points, controls and skid structure coordinated before shipment.

What the package does

From raw wellstream to actionable production data.

A test separator package is not specified only by vessel geometry. The separation duty and measurement objective should be defined together for the required production-test scope.

01 / INLET

Wellstream

Fluctuating oil, gas, water, solids, pressure, and temperature conditions enter the package.

02 / PROCESS

Separation

Configured internals, retention, controls, and outlets separate phases for stable downstream handling.

03 / VERIFY

Measurement

Gas, oil, and water measurement points are selected around the test purpose and reporting need.

04 / OUTPUT

Decision Data

A coordinated separation and measurement train supports production testing and operations.

Define the measurement objective together with the separation duty. Metering points, instruments, controls and skid scope should be confirmed against the actual wellstream and project requirements.

Visual Engineering Evidence

Separation and measurement should be engineered as one train.

Use a P&ID, process-flow diagram, or approved technical illustration here to show how the inlet, separator, phase outlets, metering points and controls relate to each other.

Configuration decision

Two-phase or three-phase?

The right choice follows your fluid behavior, test objective, operating envelope, and measurement outputs needed.

Configuration A

Two-Phase Test Separator

2P

Typically considered where the test requires separation and measurement of gas and liquid phases, while water handling is not a separate measurement requirement.

  • Focused gas and liquid separation and measurement duty
  • Package arrangement based on process and access requirements
  • Suitable controls and safety philosophy reviewed with your team

Configuration B

Three-Phase Test Separator

3P

Typically selected when gas, oil, and water require distinct separation and measurement paths, or when water cut and interface behavior are important.

  • Dedicated consideration for gas, oil, and water outlets
  • Interface control and internals aligned with fluid conditions
  • Supports a broader production-test measurement objective

Typical package scope

Built as a test package, not assembled as loose equipment.

Scope is confirmed against your P&ID, battery limits, code requirements, instruments, and destination requirements.

Procurement FAQ

Questions before RFQ.

Is this a standard separator with a flow meter added?
Not necessarily. For an integrated test package, the separation duty, phase outlets, measurement points, instrumentation, control strategy, piping and skid scope should be reviewed together rather than treated as unrelated components.
How do we choose two-phase or three-phase separation?
The decision is based on fluid conditions, water behavior, test purpose, required measurement outputs, and operating philosophy.
Can LINSON OIL supply instruments, controls, and skid piping?
Yes. Typical package scope can include the separator, piping, valves, instrumentation, metering, controls, electrical integration, structural skid, and project documents.
What information should we send for quotation?
Please share available flow rate, pressure, temperature, GOR, water cut, fluid data, sand content, measurement objective, site information, and available documents.
