01 / Engineering Role

Translate process requirements into a defined equipment and package basis.

The engineering task is not to force every inquiry into a standard model. It is to clarify the operating duty, scope of supply, process/mechanical interfaces, material environment, inspection requirements and site constraints before the final equipment configuration is proposed.

Where information is incomplete, the clarification process should identify the missing technical basis rather than silently replace it with assumptions.

02 / Customer Input Documents

Start from the documents and field conditions that already exist.

The more clearly the process and project basis is defined, the more accurately equipment selection, scope, documentation and quotation can be aligned.

01 / PROCESS

Process Data / P&ID

Process conditions, flow paths, utilities, controls and tie-in information establish the technical context.

02 / EQUIPMENT

Data Sheet / Specification

Equipment Data Sheets and Technical Specifications define design, material, quality and documentation expectations.

03 / SITE

Layout / Installation Basis

Footprint, transport, lifting, utility, climate, access and field tie-in constraints are reviewed with the process duty.

04 / PROJECT

Scope / Inspection Basis

Clarify inclusions, exclusions, inspection points, FAT/TPI requirements, documents, packing and destination-market needs.

03 / Cross-Discipline Engineering

Coordinate process, mechanical, piping, skid, instrument and control interfaces.

The exact engineering depth depends on the equipment type, supplied package and agreed project scope.

PROCESS

Process Design Review

Review duty, operating envelope, fluid behavior and the separation, heating, dehydration, stabilization, gas-processing or fluid-treatment objective.

MECHANICAL

Mechanical Configuration

Coordinate vessel/equipment arrangement, nozzles, internals, supports, access and practical fabrication requirements.

PIPING

Piping & Battery Limits

Define process connections, valves, drains, vents, instrument connections and customer/EPC tie-in interfaces.

SKID

Skid / Package Layout

Integrate equipment, piping, valves, instruments, supports and maintenance access within transport and site constraints.

ELECTRICAL / I&C

Instrumentation & Control

Clarify measurements, alarms, control functions, electrical interfaces and control-system boundaries by project.

MANUFACTURING

Design-to-Fabrication Alignment

Engineering outputs are coordinated with fabrication, inspection, FAT, documentation, packing and delivery requirements.

04 / Equipment Selection & Sizing

Selection is tied to the actual operating envelope.

LINSON OIL's engineering basis includes capacity, pressure, temperature, fluid composition, density, viscosity, water cut, gas-oil ratio and installation conditions. The relevant variables depend on the equipment and application.

Operating Range

Normal/min/max/design conditions and expected variation are clarified where relevant.

Fluid Properties

Composition, density, viscosity, water cut, gas-oil ratio and phase behavior inform process and equipment decisions.

Solids / Contaminants

Sand, solids, salinity and corrosive constituents are considered where applicable to the service.

Installation Conditions

Site layout, transport, lifting, access, utilities and interface limitations influence the practical configuration.

05 / Material Selection

Review the corrosion and solids environment before final material decisions.

Material choices are considered against the actual project specification and service environment rather than applied as a fixed material list.

H₂S / CO₂

Clarify composition/partial-pressure basis and customer/material requirements where sour/corrosive service is relevant.

Produced Water / Salinity

Water chemistry, salinity and treatment chemicals can affect material and corrosion-control decisions.

Sand / Solids

Solids loading, erosion/abrasion concerns and cleaning philosophy are reviewed where applicable.

Customer / Code Basis

Final material route follows the approved project specification, required code/standard and agreed design basis.

06 / Engineering Documents

Outputs are defined by the equipment package and project stage.

LINSON OIL's documented engineering capability includes Data Sheets, P&ID, GA/manufacturing drawings, inspection documents and FAT records. The exact document register and issue sequence are project-specific.

Process / Equipment Data

Data Sheet development, process clarification and P&ID review/comment according to the agreed scope.

GA / Layout

General arrangement and layout information coordinated with interfaces, access, lifting and transport limitations.

Manufacturing Drawings

Fabrication/manufacturing drawings and supporting details are prepared according to the equipment and approved design basis.

Inspection / FAT Records

Inspection, testing and FAT documentation are coordinated with the project ITP and supply scope.

07 / Technical Clarification & Project Interfaces

Resolve boundaries before they become fabrication or site problems.

Technical clarification is used to align what is included, what the customer/EPC provides, what interfaces must be coordinated and what inspection/documentation is required before manufacturing proceeds.

Battery Limits

Inlet/outlet, drains/vents, utilities, electrical/control and mechanical tie-in boundaries.

Scope of Supply

Equipment, piping, valves, instruments, controls, structures, documents, spares and services as applicable.

Inspection / Witness

Customer/EPC/TPI participation, ITP points and FAT requirements where specified.

Transport / Site

Shipment split, lifting, packing, site access, installation and commissioning interfaces.

Engineering Clarification RFQ

Send the available data. We will clarify the engineering basis.

Useful inputs include Process Data, P&ID, Data Sheet, Technical Specification, equipment list, fluid data, operating conditions, layout/plot plan, requested scope, inspection requirements and destination/site constraints.

Detailed datasheets, drawings and project-specific technical documents are prepared after the operating conditions, scope of supply and commercial basis have been sufficiently clarified.
