NDT Laboratory
LINSON OIL coordinates laboratory, inspection and NDT resources for customized equipment, pressure vessels, piping and skid packages. Applicable RT, UT, MT, PT and other NDT are selected according to the governing code, approved drawings, ITP and project requirements rather than treated as a fixed inspection package.
CNAS-accredited laboratory resources are presented only under the actual accredited laboratory/entity and applicable scope. This page does not claim that every listed test method is within one CNAS scope or that CNAS is a LINSON OIL corporate certificate.
01 / Laboratory Role
Verification supports the manufacturing and release decision.
Inspection scope should be defined from the contractual and technical basis, including code, drawings, specifications, ITP, acceptance criteria and customer/EPC requirements.
Define
Establish the applicable code, project specification, drawing revision, ITP and acceptance basis.
Verify
Apply dimensional inspection, applicable NDT and other agreed test/inspection activities.
Witness
Coordinate hold points, witness points, notifications and customer/EPC/TPI participation.
Record
Compile applicable material, NDT, dimensional, pressure-test, FAT and release records.
02 / Inspection Planning
Build the inspection route before fabrication reaches a hold point.
Inspection planning aligns manufacturing, quality personnel, customer representatives, EPC teams and third-party inspectors around one agreed technical and documentation path.
- 01
Review Requirements
Confirm code, specifications, approved drawings, acceptance criteria and vendor-document requirements.
- 02
Align the ITP
Define inspection stages, hold points, witness points, review points and notification responsibilities.
- 03
Material / Traceability
Coordinate material certificate verification, identification and traceability before and during fabrication as required.
- 04
In-Process Inspection
Follow agreed dimensional, welding, visual and applicable NDT checkpoints through fabrication.
- 05
Testing / Witness
Coordinate pressure, leak, functional and FAT interfaces where included in the approved scope.
- 06
Release Records
Compile the applicable reports and release documentation against the approved document register.
03 / RT · UT · MT · PT
Select the examination method to match the actual requirement.
No fixed examination percentage, method combination or acceptance level is stated here. The applicable method and extent follow the governing technical basis.
Radiographic Testing
Used where required by the applicable code, weld category, drawing, ITP or project specification.
Ultrasonic Testing
Applied where relevant to material, weld, geometry, thickness and approved inspection requirements.
Magnetic Particle Testing
Used on suitable ferromagnetic materials where required by the inspection basis.
Liquid Penetrant Testing
Used for applicable surface-discontinuity examination according to material, geometry and project requirements.
04 / Dimensional Inspection
Verify fabrication against the approved drawing and interface requirements.
Dimensional inspection is part of the documented quality-control route and can be applied at relevant fabrication, assembly and pre-release stages.
Major Dimensions
Confirm specified overall and fabrication dimensions against approved drawings.
Nozzle / Connection Orientation
Verify nozzle, connection and interface locations/orientations where drawing-controlled.
Fit-Up / Alignment
Check relevant fit-up, alignment and fabrication conditions at agreed stages.
Skid / Assembly Interfaces
Review equipment position, piping interfaces and package layout dimensions where applicable.
05 / Physical & Chemical Testing Support
Support material verification where the project requires it.
LINSON OIL's source material supports physical/chemical testing resources within the broader manufacturing system. The exact test item, method, sample basis, acceptance criteria, reporting and accreditation relevance must be confirmed for the actual project and laboratory scope.
06 / Pressure & Leak Test Interfaces
Coordinate test preparation, witnessing and records with the approved ITP.
Hydrostatic, pressure, leak and tightness testing are part of the documented QC route where required. Test pressure, medium, duration, acceptance and witness points remain project/code specific.
Preparation
Confirm approved test procedure, calibrated instruments where required, equipment readiness and safety controls.
Witness
Coordinate customer/EPC/TPI notification and participation at agreed ITP points.
Record
Issue test records against the approved technical and document-control basis.
07 / ITP · Hold · Witness · Review Points
Make the inspection path visible to every project party.
The ITP provides a common reference for manufacturing, quality, customer/EPC and third-party inspection responsibilities.
H
Hold Point
Work proceeds after the agreed release route is completed.
W
Witness Point
The notified party may attend according to the approved inspection plan.
R
Review Point
Documents or records are reviewed within the agreed approval path.
08 / Customer · EPC · TPI Coordination
Inspection should fit the wider project execution path.
LINSON OIL's documented quality route includes customer, EPC and third-party inspection support, with FAT and pre-shipment release coordinated against project requirements.
Document Review
Coordinate drawing/ITP/report review according to the project document register.
Inspection Notification
Manage agreed notification timing and inspector participation at relevant points.
FAT / Pre-Shipment
Support agreed FAT, punch-list/review activities and pre-shipment release documentation.
Final Document Package
Compile the agreed material, NDT, test and release records for handover.
09 / Representative Inspection Evidence
Show the inspection trail, not only the final certificate.
During the image pass, this page should prioritize real evidence from material identification, NDT, dimensional inspection, laboratory testing, pressure/leak testing and FAT/release records.
Material / Traceability Evidence
Material certificates, identification and traceability records where required by the project.
NDT / Dimensional Evidence
Applicable examination reports and drawing-controlled dimensional inspection records.
Test / FAT / Release Evidence
Pressure/leak test records, FAT documentation and pre-shipment release evidence where included.
Inspection / NDT RFQ
Send the inspection basis with the equipment RFQ.
Useful inputs include equipment scope, applicable code, drawings, Technical Specification, ITP, NDT requirements, acceptance criteria, hold/witness points, customer/TPI requirements and final document expectations.
Detailed datasheets, drawings and project-specific technical documents are prepared after the operating conditions, scope of supply and commercial basis have been sufficiently clarified.
