Project-Defined Process Equipment Integration
Custom Process Skid
LINSON OIL engineers and manufactures custom process skids when a project requires a coordinated package that is not fully covered by one standard product page. The scope can integrate pressure equipment, heat-transfer equipment, pumps, filters, chemical injection, metering, manifolds, valves, piping, instruments, electrical systems, controls and structural skid components according to the customer’s Process Data, PFD/P&ID, Data Sheets, Technical Specification and battery limits.
- Engineering Basis
- PFD / P&ID / Data Sheet / Spec
- Configuration
- Project Defined
- Supply Form
- Unit / Skid / Module
Engineered Around the Confirmed Scope
A custom skid is not a fixed product model. Equipment, piping, controls, structure, documentation and inspection scope are established project by project.
Custom Skid Design Logic
Use a custom skid when the project scope cannot be reduced to one standard equipment page.
The purpose of this page is not to duplicate separators, heaters, dehydration units or other established product pages. It covers integrated process scopes where multiple equipment items and interfaces must be engineered and delivered as one coordinated package.
-
01 / DEFINE
Clarify Duty & Battery Limits
Review process objective, fluid data, operating cases, upstream/downstream tie-ins, utilities, customer-supplied items and responsibility boundaries.
-
02 / SELECT
Select Required Equipment
Select vessels, exchangers, pumps, filtration, heating, dosing, metering, manifolds and other items only where the process basis requires them.
-
03 / INTEGRATE
Coordinate Layout & Interfaces
Develop piping, valve, instrument, electrical/control, structural, access, lifting, maintenance and transport interfaces around the approved package boundary.
-
04 / VERIFY
Fabricate, Inspect & FAT
Manufacture and preassemble the confirmed scope, then perform applicable inspection, pressure/leak testing, loop/functional checks and FAT by project.
When a Custom Skid Fits
Use this route for integrated or unusual process boundaries - not as a substitute for established product pages.
Where a requirement is clearly a three-phase separator, chemical-injection skid, TEG unit or another established procurement object, the relevant product page remains the primary technical path.
Multi-Equipment Process Scope
Two or more process functions must be engineered together inside one package boundary.
EPC / Client-Specified Package
The buyer supplies P&ID, Data Sheets, vendor requirements or a defined package specification requiring integrated execution.
Brownfield / Tie-In Constraints
Existing plot, piping, utility, control, lifting or transport conditions require a non-standard arrangement.
Modular Project Execution
The project benefits from factory preassembly, interface control and reduced field assembly of a defined process module.
Typical Integrable Equipment
Integrate only the equipment required by the approved process.
These are possible building blocks rather than a standard bill of materials. Quantity, sizing, vendor, material, pressure class, hazardous-area rating and certification basis remain project-specific.
Pressure Equipment
Separators, scrubbers, knockout drums, custom pressure vessels, tanks and project-defined internals.
Heat Transfer & Heating
Heat exchangers, water-bath/vacuum/electric heating equipment and temperature-control interfaces where required.
Pumps & Fluid Transfer
Transfer, circulation, booster or injection pumps with piping, valves and driver interfaces selected to the duty.
Filtration & Chemical Injection
Filters, separator/filter stages and dosing equipment where the process requires solids, liquid or chemical-treatment functions.
Metering, Manifolds & Valves
Meter runs, manifolds, isolation/control valves, drains, vents, bypasses, sampling and battery-limit tie-ins.
Instrumentation, Electrical & Structure
Field instruments, junction boxes, control panels, cabling, skid structure, platforms, access and lifting provisions.
Engineering Inputs & Battery Limits
A useful RFQ defines the process basis and the package interfaces.
Incomplete projects can still be reviewed, but the first quotation should clearly state assumptions, exclusions and clarification items rather than hiding missing technical information inside a generic skid description.
Process & Operating Data
Process objective, medium/composition, flow cases, pressure, temperature, density/viscosity, solids, corrosion basis and required outlet conditions.
Package Boundary
Inlet/outlet tie-ins, customer/vendor scope split, free-issued items, utilities, drains/vents, flare/relief interfaces and off-skid equipment.
Codes, Materials & Controls
Required codes, material/corrosion basis, hazardous-area requirements, electrical supply, control philosophy, communication and ESD interfaces.
Layout, Inspection & Delivery
Plot/transport limits, lifting, maintenance access, coating, inspection/TPI, FAT, documentation and destination-market requirements.
Manufacturing & FAT
Control interfaces before the skid leaves the factory.
LINSON OIL coordinates applicable vessel/equipment fabrication, pipe prefabrication, valve and instrument installation, electrical/control integration, skid assembly and project-specific inspection. Factory preassembly is used where practical to verify fit-up, interfaces and function before shipment.
Document Release
Approved P&ID, Data Sheets, GA, equipment list, materials, interfaces and inspection points are coordinated before fabrication.
Fabrication & Assembly
Applicable vessels/equipment, piping, valves, instruments, electrical items and structural skid components are assembled to scope.
Inspection & Functional Checks
Material, dimensional, applicable NDT, pressure/leak, instrument, electrical, loop and functional checks are performed as required.
FAT & Documentation
FAT, customer/EPC/third-party witness support and project quality records are arranged where included in the agreed scope.
Related Equipment & Solutions
Use standard product pages wherever the requirement has a clear procurement identity.
Custom Pressure Vessels
Project-specific pressure equipment where the vessel itself is the primary procurement object.
Process Heat Exchanger
Heat-transfer equipment that can be supplied standalone or integrated inside a skid.
Filter Separator
Filtration/separation equipment where the service requires a dedicated unit.
Chemical Injection Skid
Use the dedicated page where dosing is the primary package function.
Representative Project Evidence
Use project references to prove integration experience - not to create one fictional standard skid.
Separation Skid Reference
He50 Three-Phase Separator Skid

Gas-Treatment Skid Reference
Shunbei Molecular Sieve Dehydration Project
Project evidence for modular molecular-sieve dehydration with adsorption/regeneration and automatic-control systems.

Custom Process Skid RFQ
Send the process basis and define what belongs inside the skid boundary.
Share available Process Data, PFD/P&ID, Data Sheets, Technical Specification, Equipment List, GA/Plot Plan, tie-in information, utilities and client/EPC requirements. We will clarify the equipment scope, battery limits and project assumptions before quotation.
Detailed datasheets, drawings and project-specific technical documents are prepared after the operating conditions, scope of supply and commercial basis have been sufficiently clarified.
