Crude Oil Heating, Gathering & Separation

LINSON OIL develops project-specific surface process solutions for gathering produced fluids, conditioning them where heating is required, separating oil / gas / produced water, and handing each stream over to storage, treatment, export or other downstream systems.

The process route is defined from Process Data, P&ID, fluid properties, operating conditions, utilities, site constraints and battery limits. Heating equipment and separation modules are selected to suit the confirmed duty; no fixed throughput, outlet water content, temperature rise, pressure or efficiency is presented as a universal value.

Process-oriented supply: gathering, heating, separation, storage and downstream interfaces are reviewed as one operating chain.

Field Problem

Produced fluid changes across wells, seasons and field operating conditions.

A stable surface solution must respond to actual fluid behavior and field constraints rather than forcing every project into one equipment sequence.

Variable Multiphase Feed

Oil, associated gas, produced water, sand/solids, emulsion behavior, viscosity and corrosion components can vary by well and operating stage.

Heating Requirement Is Duty-Specific

Heating may support flowability, transfer or separation conditions, but the required duty and heater type depend on fluid and utility data.

Multiple Outlet Responsibilities

Oil, gas and produced-water outlets require clear destinations, tie-in conditions, measurement/control scope and downstream ownership.

Field Installation Constraints

Plot space, transport, lifting, utilities, hazardous-area basis, maintenance access and tie-in sequence influence the final arrangement.

Gathering / Heating / Separation Process

Build the process route from the inlet fluid to each downstream handover.

The sequence below is a design logic, not a fixed PFD. Heating location, separation stages and storage/transfer arrangement are confirmed from the actual operating basis.

  1. 01 / GATHER

    Gather & Condition the Inlet

Coordinate well/flowline or manifold tie-ins, isolation, inlet piping, sampling/measurement and any required upstream conditioning.

  2. 02 / HEAT

Apply Heating Where the Duty Requires It

Evaluate wellhead, water-bath, vacuum phase-change or integrated heating arrangements from fluid, temperature target, utilities and control requirements.

  3. 03 / SEPARATE

Separate Oil / Gas / Produced Water

Define separator or heating-separation configuration from feed composition, operating window, outlet objectives and project specification.

  4. 04 / HANDOVER

Route Each Stream to the Next System

Coordinate oil storage/transfer, gas treatment/export/flare interface, and produced-water treatment or reinjection battery limits.

Equipment Coordination

Coordinate process equipment, piping, instruments and utilities as one package boundary.

LINSON OIL's documented scope supports separation, heating, tanks, piping/skid integration, instrumentation/control design, inspection and FAT. The equipment mix is finalized only after the process route and interfaces are clear.

Process Equipment

Separator, heater, heating-separation module, tanks and project-defined auxiliary equipment.

Piping & Valves

Interconnecting piping, isolation, drain/vent, bypass, relief interfaces and field tie-ins as included.

Instrumentation & Control

Pressure, temperature, level, flow and control/shutdown functions per project philosophy.

Skid / Site Interfaces

Frames, access, lifting, cable routing, transport envelope, field assembly and customer tie-ins.

Battery Limits

Make every inlet, outlet and utility responsibility explicit.

Typical battery-limit clarification for crude oil heating, gathering and separation solution
Interface Clarify Why It Matters
Produced-fluid inletTie-in location, process data, pressure/temperature, piping connection and upstream control responsibility.Sets the hydraulic/process basis and inlet mechanical interface.
Heating utilitiesFuel, electrical power, heating medium, instrument air and auxiliary services as applicable.Determines feasible heating concept and package boundaries.
Oil / gas / water outletsDownstream destination, tie-in condition, measurement/control and safeguarding scope.Aligns separation objectives with downstream acceptance conditions.
Site / electrical / controlArea classification if specified, power/interface data, customer control boundary, civil/support limits and field installation responsibility.Prevents gaps between packaged equipment and field construction.

Engineering Inputs

The right solution starts with fluid behavior and downstream requirements.

Where data is incomplete, technical clarification should identify the missing items before final equipment selection and quotation.

Feed / Fluid Data

Flow/capacity basis, oil/gas/water composition, water cut, GOR, density, viscosity, emulsion, sand/solids and corrosive components.

Operating Conditions

Normal/design pressure and temperature, expected operating range, startup/shutdown conditions and field ambient basis.

Heating / Separation Objectives

Target temperature or flowability basis where required, desired outlet conditions, downstream acceptance requirements and operating philosophy.

Project / Delivery Basis

P&ID, Process Data Sheet, Equipment Data Sheet, Technical Specification, plot/GA, utilities, inspection/FAT, transport and documentation.

Project & Evidence

The solution is backed by real separator, heating and field-project evidence.

Documented source material supports three-phase separator skids, vacuum phase-change heaters, crude-oil heating/separation modules, oilfield tanks and broader oilfield heating equipment. Representative experience also includes Wushi Oilfield-related equipment and the He50 three-phase separator skid project.

Evidence Boundary

Project-specific capacities, temperatures, pressures, outlet quality or performance results are not reused as universal LINSON OIL solution guarantees.
