Crude Oil Heating & Separation Module

LINSON OIL supplies project-configured modules that combine crude heating, phase separation and selected metering/control functions for oilfield production, gathering and treatment facilities. Heating method, two-phase or three-phase separation, equipment arrangement, metering, controls and module boundary are defined from the actual wellstream data, operating conditions, treatment objective and site requirements.

Integrated Crude Treatment Module

Heating, separation, piping, instruments and optional metering are coordinated around the approved process basis.

Heating + Separation Process Logic

Condition the wellstream with heat where required, then separate and route each phase.

Heating can be used to improve crude mobility or support the intended separation duty, but the required temperature and heating technology are not universal. Separator type, stage count, internals, metering and export arrangement are confirmed from the project process basis.

  1. 01 / REVIEW

    Review the Wellstream

Confirm oil, gas and water rates, viscosity, water cut, gas-oil ratio, solids/sand, pressure, temperature and expected operating variation.

  2. 02 / HEAT

    Add Heat if Required

Select heater or heat-exchanger duty from the target process condition, available utilities, fluid behavior and downstream separation requirement.

  3. 03 / SEPARATE

    Separate the Required Phases

Configure two-phase or three-phase separation, liquid sections, gas handling, sand considerations and level/interface control to the treatment objective.

  4. 04 / METER & EXPORT

    Measure, Control & Transfer

Coordinate required metering, valves, instruments, shutdown logic and oil/gas/water outlet interfaces within the confirmed module boundary.

Applications

Integrated heating and separation for field production and gathering duties.

The module is configured from the actual fluid and facility duty; it is not presented as one fixed separator or one mandatory heating technology.

01

Wellsite Production

Modules for wellstream conditioning and phase separation where heating is required by the production or transfer basis.

02

Gathering Stations

Heating and separation integrated with manifolds, piping, metering and downstream gathering interfaces.

03

High-Water-Cut / Viscous Crude

Project review for crude where fluid mobility, emulsion behavior or water handling affects the heating and separation scheme.

04

Modular / Revamp Facilities

Factory-preassembled or upgrade modules arranged around existing tie-ins, utilities, plot, lifting and transport restrictions.

Main Systems & Configuration

Combine only the heating, separation and module functions required by the process.

The final equipment list follows the approved P&ID. Heating equipment, separator orientation/type, metering arrangement, chemical interface and control architecture are project-specific.

Heating Equipment

Water-bath, vacuum phase-change, heat-exchanger or another approved project heating route selected from the duty and utilities.

Separator & Internals

Two-phase or three-phase separator with project-defined inlet distribution, liquid sections, mist elimination and control interfaces.

Piping, Valves & Manifolds

Inlet/outlet piping, bypass, drains, vents, isolation, phase routing and tie-ins coordinated to the approved operating philosophy.

Metering & Instrumentation

Flow, pressure, temperature, level/interface, sampling and phase-metering functions included where required by the project.

Optional Process Interfaces

Chemical injection, sand handling, downstream water treatment or additional conditioning functions are included only where specified.

Controls, Structure & Access

Local/remote controls, alarms, shutdowns, skid structure, platforms, lifting and transport provisions follow the project basis.

Engineering Inputs

Wellstream properties and treatment objectives drive both heater and separator selection.

If the process basis is incomplete, send the available wellstream data, P&ID or existing facility information. The missing heating, separation and module interfaces can then be clarified before quotation.

Fluid & Flow Data

Oil, gas and water rates; water cut; gas-oil ratio; density/viscosity; emulsion behavior; sand/solids; corrosive components where available.

Pressure & Temperature Basis

Normal/min/max operating cases, design conditions, inlet temperature, required process condition and available pressure drop.

Heating & Separation Objective

Reason for heating, available fuel/power/heating medium, required phases, metering needs and downstream oil/gas/water destinations.

Project & Site Interfaces

PFD/P&ID, Data Sheet, Technical Specification, hazardous area, materials/corrosion basis, controls, plot, transport and inspection requirements.

Manufacturing & FAT

Factory integration supports a controlled module build and inspection sequence.

LINSON OIL coordinates applicable vessel/heater fabrication, piping prefabrication, skid assembly, valve/instrument installation and control integration according to the approved project scope. Inspection and FAT follow the project specification and ITP.

01

Engineering Release

Approved P&ID, equipment Data Sheets, GA, materials, controls and inspection points are coordinated before fabrication.

02

Fabrication & Assembly

Applicable heater, separator, piping, valves, instruments and structural items are fabricated and integrated to scope.

03

Inspection & Testing

Material, dimensional, applicable NDT, pressure/leak, instrument, electrical and functional checks are performed as required.

04

FAT & Records

FAT, customer/EPC/third-party witness support and project quality records are arranged where included in the agreed scope.

Heating & Separation RFQ

Send the wellstream data, heating objective and required separation duty.

Share available Process Data, wellstream composition/rates, inlet pressure and temperature, required heating duty, phase-separation objective, PFD/P&ID, Data Sheet and Technical Specification. We will review the equipment route and module boundary before quotation.

Detailed datasheets, drawings and project-specific technical documents are prepared after the operating conditions, scope of supply and commercial basis have been sufficiently clarified.
