What It Does

More than a standard gas-liquid separator.

A filter separator combines project-selected filtration or coalescence stages with gas-liquid separation. The integrated duty is designed to condition the process stream and reduce the risk of contamination, liquid carryover, fouling, erosion, or damage in downstream equipment.

Supports controlled removal of entrained liquid from gas after the selected filtration or coalescence stage.

How It Works

The internal arrangement is selected around actual operating conditions, required outlet condition, allowable pressure drop, and downstream protection requirements.

  1. STEP 01

    Inlet

    The incoming gas stream enters through a nozzle and inlet arrangement selected for the process conditions.

  2. STEP 02

    Filtration / Coalescence

    Project-specific elements or internals condition the stream based on the required filtration and separation duty.

  3. STEP 03

    Liquid Separation

    Separated liquid is collected in the vessel section with drainage and level-control provisions as required.

  4. STEP 04

    Conditioned Gas Outlet

    Conditioned gas exits toward the downstream compressor, treatment package, meter, burner, or process unit.

Questions before you specify.

Is this a standard gas-liquid separator?
A filter separator is configured around a combined filtration and gas-liquid separation duty rather than treated as a generic separator. Internal arrangement, elements and controls are selected from the actual stream conditions and downstream protection objective.
What information is needed for a technical proposal?
Please share available flow data, pressure, temperature, fluid composition, solids and liquid loading, required outlet condition, allowable pressure drop, material requirements, applicable codes, and downstream equipment information. A P&ID, data sheet, or operating description is also helpful.
Can the unit be supplied as a skid package?
Yes. LINSON OIL can provide integrated skid-mounted systems including the vessel, piping, valves, instruments, electrical and control components, structural steel, testing, and project documentation according to the agreed scope.
Can you support inspection and FAT?
Yes. Inspection and factory acceptance testing can be arranged according to the contract scope, applicable specifications, and agreed inspection test plan. Supporting records and documentation are provided as required by the project.
