Sucker Rod & Flexible Rod Systems
LINSON OIL supports project-specific rod-string systems for rod-pumped artificial-lift wells. Direct source material includes flexible lifting rod and composite sucker rod product families; metallic/conventional sucker-rod routes can be evaluated where they are part of the confirmed project scope. Rod sections, couplings/connectors, surface interfaces, tubing interaction and downhole-pump connections are reviewed as one load-transfer path.
Rod diameter, length, tensile or fatigue capability, material grade, fiber system, connector dimensions, maximum load, well depth and service life remain product- and project-specific. Performance of the complete ultra-long-stroke lift system is not presented as an intrinsic rod-product guarantee.

Rod String as a Connected System
Rod selection is coordinated with surface motion, tubing contact, well trajectory, downhole pump and completion interfaces.
Rod-String Load-Transfer Logic
Transfer reciprocating motion through the rod string while controlling interfaces and wellbore interaction.
A rod-string proposal should be built from the complete operating cycle: surface motion enters the string, loads are transmitted through connected rod sections, the string interacts with tubing and the well trajectory, and the lower interface drives the downhole pump.
- 01 / SURFACE
Receive Surface Motion
Confirm the pumping-unit or drive-side motion, polished-rod/surface connection and project load basis.
- 02 / STRING
Transfer Through Rod Sections
Configure flexible, composite or other project-selected rod sections and connectors around the confirmed operating duty.
- 03 / WELLBORE
Manage Tubing Interaction
Review trajectory, deviation, rod-to-tubing contact, friction, wear history, guides and intervention constraints.
- 04 / DOWNHOLE
Drive the Downhole Pump
Coordinate the lower rod connection with pump/plunger and completion details without assuming one pump configuration.
- 05 / CYCLE
Review Loads Over the Cycle
Use available operating/load data, failures and wear observations to refine rod route, sectioning and interface requirements.
Application Contexts
For artificial-lift wells where rod-string behavior must be matched to the well and pumping system.
These are engineering contexts, not universal performance claims for one rod product.
Long-Stroke Artificial Lift
Rod-string selection coordinated with long-stroke surface motion, downhole pump travel and wellhead interfaces.
Deviated / Wear-Sensitive Wells
Projects where trajectory, rod-tubing contact, friction and wear observations are significant inputs to the string design.
Corrosion-Sensitive Service
Wells where fluid chemistry and corrosion history are part of rod-material and interface review.
Retrofit / Workover Review
Existing lift systems where retrieved rods, failures, operating records and current pump/tubing configuration inform the next rod-string route.
Rod-String Product Routes
Choose the documented rod route from well loads, geometry, fluid and system interfaces.
Flexible lifting rod and composite sucker rod are directly documented product families. A conventional metallic sucker-rod route should only be offered where it is part of the confirmed supply/product basis; it is not treated here as a blanket stocked standard.
Flexible Lifting Rod
Directly documented flexible-rod product route for project-specific artificial-lift strings; exact construction, dimensions, connectors and operating limits remain product-defined.
Composite Sucker Rod
Directly documented composite sucker-rod route evaluated from loads, fluid exposure, well geometry, tubing interaction and complete lift-system requirements.
Metallic / Conventional Sucker-Rod Route
Considered only when specified or supported by the confirmed project/product scope; grade, dimensions and connection standard are not assumed by this page.
Couplings / Connectors / Transitions
Connection components are selected with the rod route, make-up/running method, surface connection and downhole interface.
Surface / Wellhead Interface
Polished-rod or other surface connection details are coordinated with the pumping unit and wellhead sealing arrangement.
Tubing / Pump Interface
Guides, wear-management provisions and lower pump connection are reviewed with tubing geometry, well trajectory and completion.
Engineering Inputs
Well geometry, lift motion, loads, fluid and wear history define the rod-string discussion.
For retrofit wells, provide current rod-string configuration, failure/wear observations and any dynamometer/load information available. For new projects, provide the completion schematic and planned lift-system basis.
Well / Completion Geometry
MD/TVD, trajectory/deviation, casing/tubing arrangement, pump setting, wellhead and completion restrictions.
Lift Motion / Load Basis
Surface drive, stroke/frequency, pump type/size if known, polished-rod or string-load data, operating variations and shutdown/workover conditions.
Fluid / Corrosion / Wear Basis
Oil/water/gas information, salinity/corrosive constituents if relevant, sand/solids, scale, rod/tubing wear, friction and failure history.
Interfaces / Supply / Acceptance
Required rod route if specified, connectors/couplings, surface and pump interfaces, quantity, inspection/testing, documents, packing and site-support scope.
Manufacturing, Inspection & Delivery
Keep inspection tied to the exact rod product and connection system.
The source portfolio directly documents flexible lifting rod and composite sucker rod product families. Manufacturing, dimensional and surface checks, connector/interface verification, project-required mechanical or integrity testing, marking, packing and records should follow the exact released rod product and customer specification. Generic metal-vessel or unrelated composite QC is not presented as rod-specific proof.
Technical Release
Confirm well basis, rod route, sectioning, connections/interfaces, load/operating inputs and acceptance scope.
Rod / Connector Production
Produce or prepare the project-selected rod sections and compatible connection components to the released product basis.
Product-Specific Inspection
Perform defined dimensional, surface, connection/interface and applicable product/project tests without assuming one universal test regime.
Packing & Field Documentation
Coordinate protection, reels/bundles where applicable, marking, handling guidance, certificates/records and delivery requirements.
