Flare System
LINSON OIL supplies project-configured flare systems for oil and gas facilities requiring controlled handling and combustion of combustible relief or vent gas. System configuration is developed from the defined relief cases, gas composition and flow, pressure and temperature, allowable backpressure, liquid carryover, ignition philosophy, site layout, environmental criteria and project specification.

Project-Configured Safety Venting System
Flare type, height, knockout arrangement, ignition, pilot, controls, piping, materials and support structure are established from the approved relief and site basis.
Function & Process Logic
Collect relief or vent gas, remove liquid where required, ignite reliably and route combustion to the defined flare point.
A flare system is engineered from credible operating and relief cases. Continuous or intermittent service, gas composition, liquid carryover, required backpressure, radiation/noise criteria, ignition philosophy, wind/site conditions and applicable project standards determine the final configuration.
- 01 / COLLECT
Collect Relief / Vent Gas
Route designated relief and vent streams through the approved header, manifold or battery-limit piping arrangement.
- 02 / KNOCK OUT
Remove Entrained Liquid
Use a dedicated flare knockout drum or other approved liquid-removal arrangement where liquid carryover must be controlled.
- 03 / ROUTE
Control the Gas Path
Coordinate headers, seals where specified, valves, drains and stack/riser interfaces around the allowable system backpressure and site layout.
- 04 / IGNITE
Pilot & Ignition
Select pilot, ignition and flame-monitoring arrangements from the operating philosophy, utilities, reliability requirements and project standard.
- 05 / MONITOR
Monitor & Interface
Integrate project-defined instruments, alarms, local/remote signals, power, hazardous-area interfaces and control logic.
Applications
For defined relief and vent duties across production and processing facilities.
The flare-system page covers the complete system boundary. The flare knockout drum remains a separate procurement object because it can be specified, designed and purchased independently.
Production Facilities
Relief and vent handling for oil/gas production and gathering equipment under the approved plant safety philosophy.
Gas Processing
Flare service supporting gas treatment, dehydration, stabilization and other process units where a common relief route is required.
Modular / Remote Sites
Project-configured flare packages for facilities with transport, utility, control and site-layout constraints.
Revamp / Replacement
Replacement or modification where existing relief headers, foundations, utilities, controls and site interfaces must be reviewed.
Main System Scope
Configure each flare-system block from the approved relief and site basis.
Flare tip, stack/riser, knockout drum, pilot/ignition, flame monitoring, piping, valves, seals, instruments, controls, platforms and support structure are included only where required by the project scope.
Flare Tip & Stack / Riser
Tip type, stack/riser arrangement, elevation, support, access and connection details are project-defined from the relief and site basis.
Flare Knockout Drum
Dedicated gas-liquid separation and liquid hold-up equipment where the flare/vent system requires upstream liquid removal.
Pilot, Ignition & Flame Monitoring
Pilot arrangement, ignition method and flame-monitoring interfaces are selected from operating philosophy and project requirements.
Headers, Piping, Valves & Drains
Relief/vent headers, manifolds, isolation interfaces, drains, liquid-return/pump-out connections and piping supports follow the approved P&ID.
Seals / Safeguards
Seal and flame-protection arrangements are included only where required by the selected flare-system design and project standard.
Instrumentation, Controls & Structure
Pressure/temperature/level monitoring, local/remote signals, panels, hazardous-area interfaces, structural steel, platforms and access are integrated to scope.
Engineering Inputs
Relief cases, gas composition and site criteria come before flare configuration.
Provide the relief/vent basis and P&ID where available. If radiation, noise, allowable backpressure, liquid carryover, wind/site conditions or ignition requirements have not yet been finalized, they should be treated as engineering clarification items rather than assumed standard values.
Relief / Vent Cases
Credible scenarios, simultaneous cases, design/normal/emergency flow, source pressure and temperature, duration and continuous/intermittent operating basis.
Gas & Liquid Properties
Gas composition, molecular weight where available, H2S/CO2 or corrosive components, liquid carryover, condensate/water and solids information.
Hydraulic / Combustion Basis
Allowable backpressure, header/tie-in information, required radiation/noise criteria, ignition/pilot philosophy, utilities and flame-monitoring requirements.
Site / Structure / Compliance
Plot plan, wind/site conditions, elevation, hazardous area, access, structural/foundation interfaces, materials, codes, inspection, documentation and destination requirements.
Manufacturing, Integration & FAT
Coordinate pressure equipment, piping, ignition, controls and structure to the approved system boundary.
LINSON OIL manufacturing resources support pressure-vessel fabrication, piping prefabrication, skid/structure assembly, valve/instrument installation and electrical/control integration. Inspection, applicable NDT and pressure/leak testing, functional checks and FAT are performed according to the agreed project specification and ITP.
Engineering Release
Approved system P&ID, equipment Data Sheets, GA, materials, controls, structural interfaces and inspection points are coordinated before fabrication.
Fabrication & Assembly
Applicable KO drum, piping, flare-support components, valves, instruments and control/electrical items are fabricated and integrated to scope.
Inspection & Functional Checks
Material, dimensional, applicable NDT, pressure/leak, instrument, electrical and ignition/control checks are performed as required.
FAT & Documentation
FAT, customer/EPC/third-party witness support and project quality records are arranged where included in the agreed scope.

Flare System RFQ
Send the relief cases, gas data and site design basis.
Share available relief/vent scenarios, design flow, source pressure/temperature, gas composition, liquid carryover, allowable backpressure, radiation/noise criteria if specified, flare/ignition philosophy, P&ID, line list, plot plan, utility and project standards. We will clarify the system boundary before quotation.
