Pressure Vessels, Tanks & Flare Equipment
LINSON OIL supplies custom pressure vessels, oilfield process storage tanks, collection tanks, flare systems and flare knockout drums for production, gathering, treatment, storage and field operations.
Pressure rating, vessel volume, tank capacity, material grade, corrosion allowance, flare duty and design life are project-specific. They are defined from the approved process basis, code requirements and customer specification rather than generalized across this category.
01 / Category Overview
Choose the equipment family from the process duty and storage or safety function.
This category covers pressure-containing equipment, atmospheric/process storage and collection tanks, plus flare and knockout equipment. Each family follows a different design basis and should be specified separately.
Custom Pressure Vessels
Process vessels configured around separation, filtering, scrubbing, heating, treatment, buffering or other defined duties.
Oilfield Tanks
Storage, collection and field-handling tanks for crude oil, produced water, process liquids and utility services.
Collection Equipment
Oil collection and wellhead-oriented tanks configured around fluid handling, access and operating workflow.
Flare / Knockout Equipment
Flare-system and knockout-drum equipment for project-defined relief, vent and liquid-carryover handling.
02 / Equipment Families
Different equipment families, different engineering questions.
A pressure vessel, storage tank and flare knockout drum may all be fabricated from metal, but their process, structural, safety, inspection and documentation requirements are not interchangeable.
Pressure Vessels
Define process duty, design conditions, code basis, internals, nozzles, materials and inspection requirements.
Process Storage Tanks
Define stored fluid, operating level, connections, venting, access, foundation/site and corrosion basis.
Collection Tanks
Define field workflow, fluid handling, transfer, sediment/drainage, sampling, instrumentation and maintenance access.
Flare / KO Equipment
Define relief/vent basis, vapor-liquid handling, drainage, ignition/safety interfaces and connected system responsibilities.
03 / Pressure Vessel Applications
Design the vessel around its actual process duty.
LINSON OIL supports custom pressure equipment for separation, scrubbing, filtration, heating, dehydration, stabilization, treatment, buffering and packaged process applications according to project requirements.
Separation / Scrubbing
Vessel geometry, internals, inlet/outlet arrangement and liquid handling are selected from the required phase-separation duty.
Filtration / Treatment
Filter/separator or treatment-vessel design follows contaminant, fluid and downstream protection requirements.
Heating / Process Service
Process vessels associated with heating or conditioning are coordinated with the wider process and utility scheme.
Skid Integration
Pressure vessels can be supplied as standalone equipment or integrated with piping, valves, instruments and controls.
04 / Oilfield Tanks
Match storage and collection equipment to the field workflow.
Tank selection should consider fluid type, storage/collection function, operating level, connections, venting, drainage, access, instrumentation, transfer method and site arrangement.
Process Storage
Storage or buffering of crude oil, produced water, process liquids, chemicals or utility fluids as defined by the project.
Oil Collection
Collection and transfer arrangements coordinated around incoming fluids, discharge, drainage, sediment handling and connected equipment.
Wellhead Collection
Field-oriented configuration based on wellhead operation, production handling, sampling, access and maintenance requirements.
Accessories / Interfaces
Nozzles, manways, vents, drains, level interfaces, transfer connections, platforms and accessories are defined from the tank duty.
05 / Flare · Knockout · Safety Handling
Treat flare equipment as part of the overall relief and vent system.
Flare systems and flare knockout drums are configured from the project's relief/vent basis, vapor-liquid handling requirements, drainage philosophy, site constraints, ignition/safety interfaces and applicable standards.
Flare System
Project-defined flare, venting, ignition, piping and safety interfaces.
Flare Knockout Drum
Vapor-liquid knockout duty and drainage/return interfaces defined by the connected flare system.
Integrated Interfaces
Piping, valves, instruments, drains, controls, access and supporting structure as required by scope.
06 / Design Inputs
Build the proposal from process, mechanical and site data.
When the full specification is not available, LINSON OIL can review the available Process Data, P&ID, Data Sheet, Technical Specification and site information to identify the remaining engineering questions.
Process Basis
Pressure, temperature, capacity, fluid composition, density, viscosity, phase behavior, relief/vent duty or storage function as applicable.
Mechanical / Code Basis
Required code, design conditions, equipment orientation, nozzle/interface requirements and customer/EPC specifications.
Site / Environment

Inspection / Documentation
ITP, NDT, pressure/leak testing, TPI/FAT, certification, document register and delivery requirements.
07 / Materials & Corrosion
Material selection starts with the actual service environment.
LINSON OIL reviews material and corrosion-protection requirements against the service fluid, operating conditions, project specification and applicable code.
Fluid / Chemical Exposure
Hydrocarbon composition, produced water, H2S, CO2, salinity, chloride, sand, solids and chemical exposure as applicable.
Material Route
Base material, internal/external protection and compatible bought-out items are selected from the project basis.
Coating / Lining / Insulation
Protection systems are specified where required by service, environment and customer specification.
Project Documentation
Material certificates, traceability and corrosion-protection records are coordinated according to the document plan.
08 / Manufacturing · Welding · NDT · Pressure Test
Control fabrication from incoming material through final release.
The manufacturing route can include material verification and traceability, forming/machining, welding, dimensional inspection, applicable RT/UT/MT/PT, hydrostatic/pressure/leak testing, coating and final assembly according to the approved project requirements.
