SMC / BMC Molded Products

LINSON OIL supports project-specific SMC / BMC molded composite parts based on the component function, drawing or sample, geometry, service environment, surface requirements, tooling basis, inserts/interfaces and inspection scope.

The source portfolio directly lists both SMC Molded Products and BMC Molded Products. Formulation, fiber content, strength, temperature capability, fire performance, dimensional tolerance, tooling life and certification remain product- and project-specific.

Molded-part development should start from actual geometry, interfaces and service conditions rather than a generic material statement.

Molding Route

Start with the part, then confirm the molded-product route.

The page intentionally avoids turning SMC and BMC into one universal recipe. Route selection follows the actual component and approved technical basis.

  1. 01 / FUNCTION

    Define Part Function

Clarify whether the component is a cover, housing, panel, guard, support, access component or another project-specific molded part.

  2. 02 / GEOMETRY

    Review Shape & Interfaces

Use drawings, 3D files or samples to review wall transitions, openings, inserts, mounting points and mating interfaces.

  3. 03 / SERVICE

    Confirm Service Requirements

Define exposure, appearance, temperature basis, chemicals/moisture/weathering and any customer-specified material or fire requirement.

  4. 04 / RELEASE

    Release Tooling & Production Basis

Confirm tooling, sample/first-piece review, finish, inspection, quantity and documentation before production release.

Part Geometry & Tooling Inputs

Geometry quality starts before the mold is made.

A stable procurement basis should identify critical dimensions and interfaces instead of asking the manufacturer to infer the part from a photo alone.

Drawing / 3D / Sample

Provide current revision, physical sample or model and note which source controls if they differ.

Critical Interfaces

Identify holes, inserts, bosses, mounting areas, sealing surfaces, mating parts and installation envelope.

Appearance Surfaces

Mark visible surfaces, texture/finish intent, color reference, labels/marking and cosmetic acceptance needs.

Quantity / Revision Control

Prototype, batch or repeat demand affects tooling and release planning; drawing revisions should remain traceable.

Material & Surface Requirements

Specify the service result; do not assume one standard formulation.

Service Exposure

Moisture, chemicals, dust, salt, outdoor exposure and process-contact conditions where relevant.

Thermal / Fire Basis

Provide actual operating temperature and any client-specified fire/flame requirement rather than assuming a rating.

Surface / Color

Define visible-side finish, color reference, texture and marking only where these are project requirements.

Hardware / Inserts

Clarify inserts, fasteners, labels, gaskets, secondary machining and assembly requirements.

Tooling & Manufacturing

Use a gated development path from clarification to released production.

Exact molding formulation and process settings remain tied to the selected SMC/BMC product route and approved tooling/product specification.

GATE 01

Technical Clarification

Freeze drawing/sample basis, interfaces, service requirements and quantity assumptions.

GATE 02

Tooling / Trial Basis

Confirm tooling scope, sample/first-piece review and revision-control requirements.

GATE 03

Molding / Secondary Operations

Produce to the released basis, then complete trimming, machining, inserts/hardware and finish where included.

GATE 04

Inspection / Packing Release

Verify project-defined identity, dimensions/interfaces, appearance, records and packing before shipment.

Inspection & Evidence

Direct product-family evidence is strong; exact part acceptance remains project-specific.

Shengli Xinda's composite brochure directly lists both SMC Molded Products and BMC Molded Products. The same page also separates GRP Panel Products and High Strength Composite Rig Mats as other molded-product families, supporting distinct procurement pages rather than merging them into one generic composite page.

Part / Revision Identity

Part number, drawing revision, quantity and marking.

Critical Dimensions / Interfaces

Project-defined mounting, openings, inserts and mating areas.

Visual / Surface Acceptance

Appearance, trim, finish and color only to the approved criteria.

Records / Packing

Agreed inspection records, identification and packing protection.

SMC / BMC Molded Products RFQ

Send the drawing, sample or part requirements.

Share drawing/3D/sample information, critical dimensions/interfaces, quantity, service environment, surface/appearance requirements, inserts/hardware, tooling status and inspection/documentation needs.

Detailed datasheets, drawings and project-specific technical documents are prepared after the operating conditions, scope of supply and commercial basis have been sufficiently clarified.
