Fiberglass / Carbon Fiber Fabrics & Prepreg
LINSON OIL supports project review for composite fabric and prepreg requirements. Selection should begin with the finished part, reinforcement direction, manufacturing route, resin/prepreg basis where specified, service environment, handling requirements and customer acceptance criteria.
The supplier's current public product structure includes a dedicated Fabric and Prepreg category. Exact fiberglass/carbon-fiber product form, weave, areal weight, resin content, fiber grade, cure/storage conditions and certifications must be confirmed against the selected product before quotation.
Material Forms
Define the required material form before comparing specifications.
The page groups fiberglass, carbon-fiber fabric and prepreg procurement intent. It does not assume that every weave, resin system or product grade is available as one standard range.
01 / DRY REINFORCEMENT
Fiberglass Fabric
Review fabric form, reinforcement direction, geometry, downstream resin/process compatibility and project acceptance requirements.
02 / DRY REINFORCEMENT
Carbon Fiber Fabric
Review fiber/product designation, fabric architecture and processing requirements only after the exact supplier product is confirmed.
03 / PRE-IMPREGNATED
Prepreg
Confirm reinforcement/resin system, processing route, packaging, handling and storage requirements from the selected product data.
Reinforcement Selection
Select from the finished-part requirement backward.
Material selection should be connected to the real laminate, process and operating duty—not a generic statement that one fiber type is “better.”
- 01 / PART
Define Component Function
Share part geometry, structural/function requirement, critical directions and interface conditions.
- 02 / PROCESS
Define Manufacturing Route
State the intended layup/molding/other process and equipment limitations so compatible forms can be reviewed.
- 03 / SERVICE
Define Environment
Provide temperature, chemical/moisture exposure, electrical/thermal considerations and other service conditions where relevant.
- 04 / ACCEPT
Define Acceptance Basis
Clarify required product data, identification, inspection, packaging, certificates and customer-specific acceptance criteria.
Application Inputs
Good material RFQs describe the part and process, not only a material name.
End Application
Finished component, geometry, required function, interface and project stage.
Material Reference
Existing specification, fabric/prepreg designation, sample, drawing or incumbent material if available.
Process / Handling
Manufacturing route, equipment constraints, cutting/layup needs and handling/storage requirements if applicable.
Quantity / QA
Trial/batch/production demand, packaging, identification, inspection and documentation expectations.
Manufacturing & Handling
Coordinate material supply with the customer's production route.
For dry fabrics, packing and handling should preserve the agreed material condition. For prepreg, storage/handling, shelf-life reference and processing conditions must come from the exact approved product data—not a generic website value.
Receiving / Identification
Confirm product identity, labels, batch/lot reference and agreed incoming documentation.
Cutting / Layup Inputs
Share usable width/form and process constraints where these affect supply selection.
Packaging / Storage
Define shipment and storage expectations from the exact material/product requirements.
Production Release
Use approved product data and customer acceptance basis before recurring supply.
Inspection & Evidence
Use the supplier product category as scope evidence; verify the exact material before publishing specifications.
The supplier's public product structure includes Fabric and Prepreg as a composite-material category. The currently supplied project brochure does not provide enough page-level detail to publish fixed fabric construction, fiber grade, areal weight, resin content, cure schedule, storage life or certification values for this page.
Evidence Boundary
Do not publish a fixed weave, gsm/areal weight, fiber grade, resin percentage, prepreg cure temperature, shelf life, storage temperature or performance value until the exact supplier datasheet is confirmed.
