Composite Tank Liner Application Portfolio
This portfolio organizes LINSON OIL's composite storage-tank and high-strength liner evidence around the actual containment problem: fluid chemistry, tank geometry, substrate/interface condition, installation access, inspection requirements and project scope.
Tank volume, liner thickness, pressure, temperature, service life, corrosion-resistance period, installation duration and case performance remain project-specific. They are not presented here as universal LINSON OIL values.
Application Background
Composite containment is selected from the actual fluid and storage system—not from a generic tank type.
Storage Duty
Define the stored fluid, operating pattern, fill/empty cycle, solids/sediment, cleaning method and downstream handling requirements.
Fluid / Corrosion Basis
Confirm composition, salinity, produced water, chemicals, H2S/CO2 where relevant, solids and known corrosion/compatibility concerns.
Tank / Liner Route
Clarify whether the project is a composite tank, a liner system, or an existing-tank containment/corrosion-control scope.
Site / Inspection Basis
Review drawings, tank access, shutdown/isolation constraints, inspection requirements, transport and field-work boundaries.
Corrosion / Containment Problem
The containment problem is often concentrated at interfaces—not only on the main tank wall.
For similar projects, engineering review should cover the shell/bottom/roof or vessel body together with penetrations, drains, vents, manways, nozzles, supports, local transitions and connected piping. The objective is to define a buildable corrosion-control/containment route around the actual geometry and operating duty.
Clarification Before Selection
Fluid
Chemistry, contaminants, solids, temperature/pressure basis and cleaning/treatment chemicals.
Existing Asset
Base material, existing condition, internal arrangement, previous corrosion/repair history and available drawings.
Interfaces
Nozzles, manways, drains, vents, instruments, structural members and connected piping.
Execution
Isolation, access, installation environment, inspection acceptance, documentation and handover scope.
Composite Liner Route
Develop the liner as a containment system around the tank and its interfaces.
The dedicated high-strength composite-liner source supports the liner product family and application evidence. For a new project, construction details should be confirmed from the fluid, tank geometry, substrate/interface condition, project specification and installation method.
- 01 / BASIS
Tank / Fluid Review
Review process/storage data, drawings, existing condition and corrosion/containment requirement.
- 02 / ROUTE
Composite Construction Route
Define the material/construction approach only after compatibility and service conditions are clarified.
- 03 / INTERFACE
Termination / Penetration Details
Coordinate liner continuity around nozzles, drains, manways, supports and other tank penetrations.
- 04 / VERIFY
Inspection / Handover
Define inspection, repair acceptance, records and final handover requirements from the project ITP/specification.
Tank Geometry / Nozzle Interface
Geometry determines how the composite route can be manufactured, installed and maintained.
Tank form, internal structures and penetrations affect continuity, access, transition details and inspection. These items should be clarified from drawings and site information before final configuration.
Shell / Bottom / Roof
Review main surfaces, local transitions, seams/joints and areas where geometry changes.
Nozzles / Drains / Vents
Coordinate penetrations and terminations with connected piping and maintenance/inspection access.
Manways / Instruments
Confirm openings, instruments, internal equipment and practical access for installation and future inspection.
Supports / Internal Members
Review structural/support interfaces that may interrupt or complicate the selected containment route.
Installation / Repair Access
Field access and isolation can define the practical liner or rehabilitation scope.
For existing tanks or field-installed liner work, clarify shutdown/isolation, cleaning, confined-space/access conditions, manway dimensions, internal obstacles, environmental conditions, curing/installation limitations, inspection access and repair/handover expectations. Exact procedures remain project-specific.
Isolation / Cleaning
Confirm tank availability, decontamination/cleaning responsibility and readiness conditions before field work.
Access / Work Space
Review manway size, internal structures, temporary access/scaffolding and equipment/material movement.
Local Repair / Transition
Define substrate/local repair responsibilities and details around penetrations, edges and termination zones.
Acceptance / Return to Service
Agree inspection points, punch-list/repair process, records and handover conditions before work begins.
Manufacturing & Inspection
Use product-route and project-specific quality controls.
LINSON OIL's documented resources include composite tanks, liners and corrosion-resistant products plus engineering, inspection, documentation and delivery support. Exact liner/tank manufacturing and acceptance tests should follow the selected product route, customer specification and approved ITP.
Material / System Identification
Confirm approved material system, product identification and supplier/manufacturing records required by the project.
Manufacturing / Application Control
Control the applicable manufacturing or field-application procedure, environmental conditions and workmanship checkpoints.
Visual / Dimensional / Interface Checks
Inspect geometry, surfaces, penetrations, transitions and agreed workmanship characteristics before release.
Test / Inspection / Handover Records
Compile agreed inspection/test records, repair records, drawings, packing/delivery documents and final handover data.
Representative Application Evidence
Use the dedicated liner and composite-tank records as portfolio evidence, not as universal design data.
The dedicated source material contains separate high-strength composite-liner and composite material storage-tank product/application records, including typical-case sections. On the website, images and case values should remain attached to the exact source record from which they came.
Composite liner evidence
Use verified liner product, structure/application and typical-case imagery only for the liner route.
Composite tank evidence
Use verified composite storage-tank product/classification and typical-case imagery only for the tank route.
Case-specific data boundary
Any capacity, dimension, material construction, operating condition or project quantity remains attached to the exact published case.
Not Generalized
No fixed tank capacity, liner thickness, design pressure/temperature, service life, corrosion-resistance period, installation duration or case performance is stated here as a standard LINSON OIL value.
Engineering Inputs
Send the tank, fluid and interface basis before selecting a liner or composite storage route.
An initial review can start from available drawings, photos and fluid information, but final scope depends on confirmed geometry, condition, operating basis, access and acceptance requirements.
Tank / Vessel Data
GA/drawings, dimensions/capacity, base material, current condition, internal arrangement and photographs.
Fluid / Operating Data
Fluid composition, density where relevant, salinity, solids, H2S/CO2 if applicable, chemicals, P/T basis and operating cycle.
Interface / Access Data
Nozzles, manways, drains/vents, internals, connected piping, shutdown/isolation plan, field access and installation constraints.
Quality / Delivery Data
Applicable specifications, inspection/acceptance requirements, ITP/TPI, documentation, packing/destination and site-support scope.
