How Cyclonic Separation Works

The internal flow path is configured to create rotational movement suited to the stream, pressure conditions and intended separation role.

Qualification Note

LINSON OIL holds A2 pressure-vessel design and manufacturing qualification. Where the cyclone configuration falls within pressure-vessel scope, the applicable qualification, code and inspection requirements are confirmed during technical clarification.

Questions Before RFQ

What data is needed for cyclone separator selection?
Please share flow range, operating and design pressure and temperature, fluid properties, liquid or solids loading, separation objective, allowable pressure drop, materials and site or interface requirements.
Can the same cyclone separator be used for liquid and solids removal?
The duty must be evaluated separately. Gas-liquid and solids-bearing applications can require different geometry, collection, discharge and erosion or corrosion considerations. Final configuration is project-specific.
Is a cyclone separator always the final separation stage?
No. In many process arrangements the cyclone is used as pre-separation or primary separation before another separator, filter or treatment unit. The complete process train should be reviewed together.
Can LINSON OIL integrate the cyclone into a skid package?
Yes, when included in the agreed scope. Integration can include related piping, valves, instrumentation, controls, structural components and project documentation.
What inspection and FAT can be included?
Inspection and FAT are defined by the equipment configuration and project specification. Scope can include material and dimensional checks, NDT or pressure testing where applicable, assembly and functional checks, documentation review and agreed FAT activities.
